YEAH, IT'S LONG, JUST READ IT AND CUT OUT THE TL;DR BULL-SHIT. Thank you.

Hey all, been a while since I made an update. Just wanted to apologize, I've been going through some new health issues, that I won't be getting into, as well as studying graphic design.

So in order, I have 7 albums Lyrically written, and have currently finished 5 of their artworks, (cover pages, back covers, lyric pages etc).

After that I will be focusing on my vocals and health, as well as working on the character designs for Retrograde, my graphic novel/comic book series, finally(and by that I mean getting them out of my head and on paper).

Understand something, it's going to be a TOTALLY original series, meaning that it's all my ideas with no connection DoD in story. However, as stated before it will have some character designs similar to DoD, but they will be tailored for the new series as I'd hate to not use them in an original manner.

Similar to what Kirbopher has done with TOME, only not animated, more like a batman comic if you will. But not exactly the same of course.

My apologies for being repetitive for those who understand what I'm doing/saying as some people seem to be totally lost on this concept... -___-

Now as far as DoD is concerned, I just need two more sprite sheets to be finished, which are being worked on by some close friends, and I will sometime soon be submitting the revamped swf. document that contains the new pre-loader screen, title screen, (and I've even changed the dimensions of the screen now for the rest of the series), on deviant-art.

Just to clarify something too, since I do get more comments and faves related to my sonic shit than my original work. (though I expect Retrograde will get some good attention as well, hopefully because I'm starting to getting kind of ticked off about that...) most of my original work seems to be payed less attention since I brought DoD back. My advice, please don't do that. DoD is the last thing on my mind, both in importance/significance, and project wise. I like sonic/mario stuff, but I'm not a fanboy, so please don't be one, or you're going to be quite disappointed.

If you're mostly watching me for this reason, then remove me as a fave.

Also, I may have spoken to many audio composers/musicians over the last couple of years about being part of Defiled Conscience, (my band project). I haven't forgotten about you guys, it's just taking time with my health issues before I'll be ready to actually start the recording process. The bottom line would be to record and sell/distribute the albums online.

Though selling, and making a profit, could only work if I find someone who can technically be the producer and the composer. And my half of the spectrum would be the albums art all done, the lyrics, and vocals. And we split marketing/advertising work. Though if I end up needing more than JUST 1 person, there would be no money involved, which I don't really care about to begin with. The main purpose is to find a person or people who love metal, want to be a part of the project for all 7 albums, and believe in the messages that metal sends.

ALSO, I've had to say this with DoD in the past, and now I'll have to say it about my original drawn work as well. I have almost 500 followers on here, Newgrounds alone, not counting my other art pages... Are all of your hands broken, or do you just not know how to type? If you like me and or my work, vote on my drawings in the art portal. My submissions are right at the top of my page here. Please support it. If you don't care, and are mostly interested in "fan-art" related works, then please... take me off your faves list.

Okay, that's all.

Hello everyone. Yes you read correctly. I'm picking up where I left off. Now DoD is NOT my main focus anymore, and never will be again, but I'd like to finish the series.

DON'T FORGET TO LOOK AT MY ARTWORK, BOTH ON HERE AND AT MY DEVIANT-ART PAGE, "DEVIOUS SHADE" LINK BELOW. AND IF YOU LIKE WHAT YOU SEE ON HERE PLEASE VOTE AND LEAVE A REVIEW ON ONE OF MY DRAWINGS THE SAME WAY YOU WOULD ON ONE OF MY MOVIES. DON'T BE A SONIC FAN-BOY/FAN-GIRL WHO ONLY LOOKS AT SONIC RELATED WORKS THAT PEOPLE DRAW. AND AS STATED ABOVE, MY ORIGINAL ARTWORK, SUCH AS MY ORIGINAL COMIC BOOK/GRAPHIC NOVEL SERIES: RETROGRADE IS MY PRIMARY FOCUS AS WELL AS MY HEAVY METAL BAND'S ALBUM ARTWORK, (WHICH IS ALMOST COMPLETE FOR 7 ALBUMS OF WORK AS WELL AS ALL LYRICALLY WRITTEN) AND OF COURSE PRACTICING MY VOCALS FOR THE RECORDING (IN TIME, STILL SORTING OUT SOME ISSUES ON THAT, MOSTLY RELATED TO MY HEALTH).

Those of you who read the episode synopses for how the series plays out know the basic plot of how the story unfolds. But, I did make some tweaks to the episodes, as well I didn't put everything in so not to worry, there are still plenty of surprises, as well as of course now you get to actually see it all. I've really come into my own as an artist now, and sprites/sprite animations are relatively easy for me so things should progress with quite some style and even some improvements. Even though if you liked eps. 5 p2's style, that will be the basic standard for the series in terms of quality and style. Now I want to remind people of somethings about similarities to other sprite series on here, that were all coincidental between us, and were cleared up a little over two years ago now.

Basilisx, SMBZ - Turns people to stone without any limits. Like Dabura from DBZ, as Alvin once said.

Shadow can do this in my series, but he can't do it at will. He needs to have enough, anger, hate, and dark essence within him to turn people to stone. I haven't displayed how he does it yet, but that's coming soon, and if you read my basic synopses for the series on DA, you know how at least by reading and picturing it.

Heaven and hell concepts with sonic characters, Sonic GX - I did heavy research for DoD, and had the idea long before he did and our concepts of it were portrayed very differently.

So bottom line, this is just a refresher and reminder. No one copied anyone, just enjoy the damn series without any bitching.

And as far as the stone idea goes, since it's a heavy concept in my story. Check the dates that my movies were submitted. My eps. 3, where eggman was turned to stone, and my Intro Revamp where the koopa bros were turned to stone all by shadow. Came out way before SMBZ 8.

Also, re-read my little disclaimer message at the beginning of eps. 5p2 for an added refresher.

So that's it there.

With that said nearly all the sprites for the series are finished. I got people helping me. And don't fret about me not animating for a while, because just because I posted nothing in two years animation wise, doesn't mean I don't practice, or remember. ;)

P.S. Don't badger me when the next eps. comes out. It doesn't make me work faster, I'm doing this for fun, and if one thing has been shown in the last couple of years, is that bitchy fans have made people lose motivation, and quit.

Passed away...

I don't know how many of you know of him, or know this, but Randy and I use to talk often enough, on and off through NG PM's... hell the bowser castle sprites he made from scratch in ROTMK series of his, were in DoD. He gave me permission to use them back when I was just a n00b. I know I will, and many others in the NG community, will miss him greatly...

God Bless you Randy...

Okay, seeing as how a lot of you don't really comment on my artwork on here, I wonder just how aware of it you are. I post things up on here too, like finished pictures, painted, etc. So check my out art on here and here's a link to something more recent, and be sure to read my comments on it and junk like that please. I hate having to repeat myself. Also, just to clear something up since some people make this mistake still.

Retrograde, is a graphic novel (comic book) series of my OWN creation, an ORIGINAL idea, with NO CONNECTION, to SONIC or ANY OTHER VG CHARACTER/COPYWRITTEN CHARACTER. Just clearing that up, and I'll be making that post on DA now as well since many people still did not get that, and that means that any character from DoD will not have ANY CONNECTION to their former DoD self. Like Azazel or Supplicium for example, were original characters of my own, that I decided to make and use in a sonic series. So now that it's done, they will be tailored ever so slightly so they are 100% original, meaning mine only, without reliance on any canon copywritten story or character. In other words, why let good characters go to waste when I can just tweak them a bit in design? Okay guys? Good, glad that's cleared up, now here we go:

My latest artwork, and I hope to only have to put this up once to get some attention from my fans on here drawn to my art gallery:

Redonic - 14 vote(s)

Zails - 24 vote(s)

or Krunckles - 4 vote(s)

After adding up the total votes from NG, and DA for the clone vote. It would appear that Zails has won.

So here is what I'm going to do. Zails will be the character in Retrograde, his "paint job" shall be Redonic's since he is 2nd place, and Krunckles clearly is the lowest so he'll be Zails's ability with the spell casting book, manipulating water/ice, of any kind, internal or external. And one other thing too, seeing as how some people suggested this to me, and I was thinking it to begin with, I'll be making Zails a female. So like a vixen witch. Okay, then I guess that's pretty much it, so thanks for all your help guys, stay connected for more updates on my work.

I've found a way to incorporate any elements/characters into Retrograde from DoD, but there is one question left to beg. The clones.

I could include just 1 more character, into Retrograde and that would make 33 characters, but I need to know first, would any of you like to see a reincarnation of one of the clones from DoD in Retrograde, and if so, which one? Bare in mind whatever one you choose will have the same personality, with some "elements" or characteristics of the other two intertwined for the complete package. If you'd like to see this, vote, post, and leave your thoughts.

(Please note that this was also posted on DA, and once I reach a point where there is no one left to vote on this matter, I'll add up the total from all my sites and see who is the victor.)

Redonic - 3 vote(s)

Zails - 5 vote(s)

or Krunckles - vote(s)

Well I've been busy working on it, and I'm on DA often but it seems I've forgotten to update here as of late about my work so here's a boatload of information for you guys. If you have any questions after READING EVERYTHING, please feel free to ask, and I'll be happy to ask any questions at all guys anf gals. =)

Okay, in total I made 32 characters, and have 31 bio's written up. 1 more than I can start drawing them one by one. Even thought I've started on Shade, a grey kestral bird, the main character first. I've also done some research on graphic novels and all the different formats there are and I've decided on the medium for Retrograde.

It will be a graphic novel series/comic book series, but I've seen animated versions of this. So a comic, but certain panels of pages will have mild animation to it, it'll have background music, voice actors for the dialouge boxes as well, and after each line is said, a button will appear allowing you to continue "reading" the pages. This way I can get the series out much faster, and not have to rely on other animators for each episode to help finish it, and be all painted up nicely in "Easy Paint Tool Sai".

Plus I get to use quite a few of my old VA's such as kirbyky for Azazel, and Budge007 for Boo-Hoo, who is under going a redesign as well to make him a little more disturbing by apperance.

Now in addition to the numerous characters I've had written up for over a year, the ones from DoD that are being added and fine tuned for DoD since they were fan faves and my personal faves are as followed:

Retrograde+Primevil Pack 6=

Ok, certain characters in DoD that I'm quite fond of, and so were the fans, will be in Retrograde with the same personality, and just a slight re-design into anthro forms/bio experiments or even a robot. This is as follows:

The only two chaos beasts that seemed to be favored, as they were also my favorites as well were Kiritsu and Supplicium.

Kiritsu will be an anthro fire snake bio experiment, and Supplicium will be a tazmanian devil, and both of them will maintain there same basic color scheme. Supplicium in my new series will however, be one of Azazel's three demon children, and the oldest of two sons.

Azazel will be the same design, but his cat breed will now be a Lynx, because they are one badass cat. >=)

Now for the other 5 Primevil's. Cythera's design will be used mainly for the bounty hunter girl in my series, and her first name will be "Sin", so that's two birds' with one stone there. Taking the elements from each character that I like. Along with other random things from DoD that I liked that I can add to this.

Then Prophet... will be reletively the same as well with some minor tweaks, and a new paint job. He's going to be a cyborg in it, and his original animal form will most likely remain a mystery.

Now the last two are boo-hoo and phantom guy. I liked phantom's guys overall look with the hooded outfit and the creepy mask, but boo-hoo was still more favored both by myself and a few fans. So, boo-hoo will also be in Retrograde as this creepy ghost like being wearing a cloak and a freaky as all hell mask. Where does Boo-Hoo fit into the story? *Spoiler* I'm making him advisor to the "devil" Azazel.

Also, here is a small synopses of the series plot, though it's very small it'll still give a pretty good idea of what the series will be.

Hope this answers some more questions while I'm finishing developing these characters of mine, and getting them on paper. Anymore questions? Please leave a comment and ask away.

God Bless

It's been an eventful few months now. I'm getting better with my art, got a few commissions here and there and I'm currently posting one I did for a cousin's friend of Electabuzz. You'll be seeing a lot more artwork coming to my NG gallery here soon both of commissions when people are generous enough to patronize me lol (business term) and of the characters in my upcoming original work Retrograde, my horror film Pay Your Respects, and eventually my music as those of you who watch me on deviantart are aware of. Those of you who don't might want to do so to keep up to date. I'll also plan to sell my music as many people have said they like my lyrics alone and would by it. And I can sing ok I'd say, and in today's day and age you can be freaking tone deaf and still be liked as a band so here goes, lol. Well, that's all guys so, post your comments if ya have any questions, oh one more thing. I'm done with sprites for long term projects, but not done forever. I'm still spriting for fun to stay in practice for commissions, I want to make one sprite sheet of Shade so he could be available to be used in flashes, games, etc, and I'm open for sprite animation collabs and maybe even and occasional fight vid if I feel like it.

Well that's all. =)

Those of you who havn't seen my previous post, please read it now:

http://shadefalcon.newgrounds.com/news /post/547181

Yes, my posts are long, but if you care about my work and are a true fan, you'll take the 10 minutes out of your time to read it. Those of you who do read my posts in full are excluded from this and I thank those of you who are truly supportive of me and my work.

But I digress. As promised, my final obligation to the Dawning of Darkness fans, here are the DoD plot synopses:

http://shadefalcon.deviantart.com/#/d3 5ja7i

These paragraphs will hopeully satify your questions as it did for the fans on deviantart as well. It will be sometime till I get my new animations up and running since I'm still finishing up typing the character bio's and designs up, and then I have to draw them, and I'm still practicing anatomy. But if you keep your eye on the art I submit here, and watch me on deviantart you will be kept well up to date.

Now something else I'd like to say about what DoD did for me.

Well, after posting my DoD synopses on DA and seeing everyone's comments to it, it also made me realize the moral behind the story, I had long since forgotten:

"Shows you what your anger and hate can do to you, if you let it go to far..."

Something I have done a lot for the past few months in light of a few prior incidents. So, thanks for being fans guys, and I guess I'll say thank you to my series, DoD as well. You've taught me something yet again old friend, so to speak.

Also, I'm in the process of uploading things like my DoD sound effects, backgrounds, and special effect sprites. It took some time to upload it all but you should be able to download them in the links below.

All my sprite character sheets are now uploaded as well, any sheets "missing" are do to not being really started and won't be uploaded, sorry.

Here's the link to my sheets:

http://shadefalcon.deviantart.com/gall ery/27570625

Next the link to my DoD sound effects:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/3w1a31

Then my DoD special effects sprites etc:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/sfhkss

And finally my DoD backgrounds and junk:

Well, that's all I guess, happy holidays everyone and god bless.

Well, if you're reading this, then you must have seen the following post on NG:

http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/12 16941

Now, after reading that, you know, that sprite animations, are no longer getting top billing, on NG, they have finally started focusing more, on purely original content, made by everyone, hence the site's slogan. Now, what does this mean for DoD.... *sigh* Here's the part you'll care about. DoD, has been "Technically Cancelled". Now I know I was growing tired of the series, and it was already starting to take a back seat, as you've all been aware. So what it comes down to is this: Part of the reason I was still hanging onto DoD at this point was to keep myself relevant, so I wouldn't be forgotten while trying to work on my original works, but apparently that doesn't mean much now and I hope my fellow sprite animators will come to realize this in time as well. Parodies such as these are still ok on NG, but it won't get you very far anymore. Coming for future works, I have three projects planned. One, my lyrics and music to sing, the horror movie Pay Your Respects, with Joshua, and the biggest project, Retrograde. So one animated series, one animated horror, and then music for all you metal heads, and people who actually give a damn about the lyrics, the meaning behind the mindless head bopping and banging. Now I know, many of you will be disappointed BUT, here's what I plan to do. I've written up the basic plot synopses for DoD so I can post them for you all to read, to see how the series would have played out basically and ended. I will also be posting my sprite sheets, some are unfinished, sound effect archives, and any other sprites you might recommend on sendspace and then you can all just download the large packets. Now, maybe one day I'll go back to DoD, but this is not a definite, and I'm sorry if it all upsets you guys, but I have to do what is right for me in the end. I will NOT delete any of the work and supplies I have for DoD. Just in case one day, I want to open that door again, I'll hang onto the key that unlocks it, and odds are, it that I will one day go back to it. I do have something else to say that you will all enjoy. Elements of DoD, some plot concepts, and even certain characters from DoD, seeing as most of them I made myself, will be in the Retrograde series. Some as different animals or demons or even bio experiments created by Zeta, with the same basic design they had as a chaos beast and with the same personality you all loved. Such as Kiritsu, Supplicium, Azazel, and maybe even some others depending on what I can work with. Now as for my voice actors of some of these loveable icons. Do not worry, you will NOT be left out in the cold. If you're all still interested in playing these characters, and being a part of my work, then you're on board once again. And also, a lot of you have asked me before why I started DoD. Well, for those of you who don't know... I'll tell you.

Back when I was 14, I had been inspired by SQFP, sonic's quest for power, by LGD Vegetto and Cajun-Spirit and it got me into animation. I said, hey, I could do that. I practiced hard for months, taught myself flash by reading books and studying other artists, and almost even quit, and along my way I developed the idea of a series featuring my favorite characters, the under dogs of the two realms and I being one always myself, wanted to promote them. So I thought of a series where shadow and bowser would be on top, and from there I brought on Luigi as well, he being one of my other favorites, and always in the shadow of the stupid Mario. Like sonic, both of them carefree, self righteous windbags, who have no problems, and have to deal with easily combatable enemies. However, there's nothing worse then having your enemies and rivals tag team and even form an alliance with your own family. I also wanted to get more respect for them having seen shadow being called an EMO, not that I have a problem with Emos either, to each their own, but he being called one because he's angry, depressant, and has had real problems, so people favor sonic since he is so light and airy. Easy to judge when you've never had hard day in your life. This goes for reality too. Not to mention having concept that wasn't just about the heroes prevailing, actually giving the underdogs and even the villains a chance to shine. Something that will be carried very much through out all of my works. Only it will rotate in my later works, heroes win sometimes, underdogs or anti-heroes, and villains win sometimes, since life is not just one battle it's many that we must overcome, as the characters will experience as well. Then back to the characters of DoD, Luigi a scaredy cat always trapped in the shadow of his brother, not even being noticed, and finally bowser who is virtually, this, turtle, dragon, lizard devil, behemoth and yet, he's a frigg'in cry baby. And while DoD may be "technically done", in just 4 short years with the few episodes I released, not only did I get respect for these guys now I see, but I also, without even realizing it until many fans brought this to my attention, I've set a bar, a new standard I feel for this sprite genre with my: original plot line way different than anything ever seen, the sprites were all genesis/custom/from scratch and the over all style set a new respect I hope even to some people who hate this genre, and some I know it did. And on top of that... one can not expect to go very far on someone else's steam, aka fan art projects. And to answer your questions NO, I am not going to turn into a pompous windbag artist who think because they're original, that they are better and can mock spriters/fan-artists. Unlike them, I will NEVER, and have NEVER, forgotten, where I come from, and will eventually look back one day, and say where I came from, and be daaaaaaamn proud of it. Because many even tried to push me out of doing what I love, but I always said that the day I stop the sprite flash series parody work, will be because I decided too, on MY TERMS, and no one else. Remember that everyone.

So, that being said, if you enjoyed DoD thoroughly you'll enjoy the rest of my work too. Unless you were only interested because it was sonic stuff. So, to reiterate, you'll be seeing a lot of art from me here on, with drawn stuff, and in the mean time, I'm open to flash collabs always. Also this whole thing on NG as you read with the companies breathing down NG's necks will force everyone in the NG community to start collaborating, which is good news for me since I usually have such a hard time finding help, and especially good help now that it is all original work, people will be more inclined and interested. Alright, I guess that's everything... if you have any other questions or things I may have left out, please state and tell me.

Thanks for all your support, and being a fan of me, and my work, and I hope you continue to be, and enjoy what I have for the future.

God Bless you guys.
